Dual exhibitions featuring Seattle painter Scott Morgan and Vancouver, B.C. artist Izabela Gereb will be on view through the month of September.
Drawing from a background of music and landscape architecture, Scott Morgan creates improvisational rhythm and movement through line, form and color that is inspired by observations of human behavior and spatial patterns. The paintings are not premeditated; instead, he utilizes the flexibility of oil paint by evolving through many scenarios and dialogues before coming to rest at a piece that is both accessible and open to interpretation.
Izabela Gereb, both an artist and designer, finds her inspiration in the beauty of nature with a strong interest in people. This exhibition of recent paintings is the result of her latest exploration of human nature. Depicting faces in a style very much inspired by Modigliani’s portraits, she seeks to convey the deep emotions those of kindness, love, and compassion that people bring about in her.
